Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Southern Eye Care of Clinton the leading provider of vision care products and services in Clinton.

Dr. Joshua Massey

Joshua Massey O.D, of Kosciusko, MS, joined Southern Eye Care in July 2013. Dr. Massey is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Mississippi Optometric Association where he is co-chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee and a member of the AGU committee. Dr. Massey received his Bachelor of Biological Sciences degree from Mississippi State University. There, he was a member of the Order of Omega leadership and honor society, as well as a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda honor society. He served as both Vice President and Secretary of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and served as Director of Community Service for the Interfraternity Council where he was an advocate for the Habitat for Humanity volunteer organization. Dr. Massey earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where he served as Vice President of the Mississippi Optometric Student Association. Dr. Massey completed a surgical and disease internship at Jackson Eye Institute in Jackson, MS and also a primary eye care internship at Mountain Eyeworks in Steamboat Springs, CO. He earned clinical honors in ocular disease at both Jackson Eye Institute, and The Eye Center at the Southern College of Optometry. He has a specific interest in Glaucoma and Diabetic eye disease. Dr. Massey is an active member of the Clinton Rotary Club. He and his wife Brittany reside in Flowood, MS.

Kimberly Pickle, CPO / Optometric Technician

Kimberly joined our team in July 2013. As an Optometric Technician, she is responsible for making sure our patients are fully prepared to see the Doctor, and is responsible for preforming any in-office testing ordered by the doctor. Kim is also professionally trained in areas of the office to include receptionist, pre-testing, dispensary, special testing and contact lens fitting. Kim received her CPO certification in May 2015 and is currently studying for her CPOA certification.

Alyssa Dedmon, CPO / Optician

Alyssa joined our team in February 2016. She is our schedule coordinator. She also handles our recall system, making sure our patients receive the follow up care that is directed by our doctors. She acts as a liaison between our office and specialists to ensure they receive the proper referrals requested by the doctors. Alyssa can be found in our optical where she helps our patients find the perfect glasses that they are looking for. She keeps our optical up to date with the latest styles and ensures that our patients are educated on the importance of lens options that fit their personal lifestyles. Alyssa earned her CPO certification in May 2017, and is currently working to gain her CPOA certification.
